IT ALL STARTED WHEN an ESTATE became the setting for elegant events big and small
In 1985, Grace and Wilburn Moorehead purchased this Tennessee countryside. In 1987, they built the estate home with family and community at its heart.
The Threet family purchased the property in 2021 and named it Gracemore Estate in their honor. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of hosting 138 private weddings. Today, the estate home, chapel, and gardens welcome couples to gather, celebrate, and begin a story of their own.

Our History
Grace and Wilburn Moorehead’s generosity was woven into everyday life in Chapel Hill. For 33 years, they owned Moorehead’s Foodland, where neighbors were greeted by name. Mr. Wilburn also served the Chapel Hill Lions Club for 48 years, while Mrs. Grace was known for handwritten notes, fresh flowers, and the quiet kindness that made people feel cherished.
That legacy lives on at Gracemore Estate. We care for each wedding with the same thoughtful hospitality, from the first welcome to the final farewell. A portion of our revenue is donated to charitable causes, and wedding flowers are donated in each couple’s name, allowing the beauty of their celebration to reach beyond the estate.

Founder / Owner
Ashlie founded Gracemore Estate with a vision for weddings that feel beautiful, personal, and genuinely welcoming. Inspired by the Mooreheads’ legacy of generosity, she brings thoughtful Southern hospitality to every celebration.
Gary
Gary keeps Gracemore looking its best and each celebration running smoothly. He’s a steady presence behind the scenes—and the team’s go-to when a little extra muscle is needed.
Operations Director
Joe brings a warm welcome and a polished touch to the bar, creating cocktails tailored to each couple’s celebration. He is also a paramedic, and his calm, attentive presence helps guests feel cared for throughout the evening.

Tonia creates wedding cakes and desserts that are as memorable as the celebration itself. She works with each couple to choose sweets that reflect their tastes and add a beautiful finishing touch to the day.
Tanya
Tanya brings each couple’s vision to life through flowers. From personal blooms to ceremony and reception installations, she creates floral designs that feel at home in the setting and make the day distinctly theirs.

From the first introduction to the final song, our DJ and MC keeps the celebration flowing. With a feel for the room and the couple’s style, they bring everyone together for the moments that matter—and keep the dance floor going all night.
